Established in 1994, Derrell's Garage was located in the rear garage of Derrell Eggert's home. What Derrell initiated as a side business quickly escalated and required more time and space. In 2001, Derrell expanded into a 4000 sq. feet building, and three years later he found once again space was tight and it was time for another move. At that time, Derrell's Garage relocated and embraced a new size of 8,000 sq. feet. In 2005, Derrell was able to retire from his job and began pursuing his dream of running his shop full time. Derrell's Garage made an additional move in 2007 to its current location of 12,000 sq. feet. Derrell believes the addition of the MMI Equipment Dealership is the reason behind the expansion in the last three years. The fact that Derrell's Garage is the ONLY auto, truck and equipment dealer in Amarillo, Texas, is the reasoning behind the family business' rapid growth!
